Stepping Into Your Power, Passion, and Purpose
What would it feel like to have a job that was created just for you? A job where you were extremely successful at completing your work and projects with what feels like ease and minimal effort. You look forward to going to work each and every day because your work is meaningful and leaves you feeling a sense of accomplishment. Sounds like a dream job! For some, this is their exact experience when it comes to their work and the feeling it brings them. They are appreciative of being able to go to work; do what they love to do; and feel valued by their employer. They leave their job feeling energized at the end of the day instead of drained and dreading the thought of going to work the next day. I believe when what you have been created to do meets the passion for what you want to do, this sense of fulfillment is the outcome. It sounds so easy, yet so many of us never find this sense of purpose and passion. Why? Maybe we chose to raise a family and put our dreams and desires on hold; or maybe we have told ourselves we will pursue our dream job when we retire. Whatever the reason or the story we tell ourselves, it is never too late to make that dream job come true. The power of choice is always there – and yours to exercise.
You have tremendous power. Power is the ability to do or act or accomplish something. Whatever you need to accomplish, be it a goal or a dream - already exists inside of you. You just need to tap into your power and fully exercise your capabilities. There is a wonderful quote from Marianne Williamson’s book, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles, that reads, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world. We are all meant to shine, as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
If you are still looking for that dream job, what steps are you willing to take to find it? If you feel there just has to be more to life than what you are currently experiencing, or just feel you are not living up to your full potential, what changes are you willing to make? And, if you are still trying to figure out what you are truly passionate about – what discovery journey are you willing to take?
The great thing about stepping into your power, passion, and purpose is that you already hold the key and answers to your heart’s desires and have the ability to make your dreams come true! Now, what will you do?
